Residential Home If you are looking for a relaxing place to take your family for a picnic, or maybe even a little fishing, visit a City Utilities' park or lake.

  General Information
  • Lake Springfield Park & Grounds (including Tailwaters, Southwood and Henshaw) are operated by the Springfield-Greene County Park Board (SGCPB).
  • Lake Springfield water (Kinser Bridge to the Dam) is managed by City Utilities, 831-8595.
  • Hunting is coordinated by the Missouri Department of Conservation, 895-6880.
  • Valley Water Mill Park is operated by the Watershed Committee and Springfield-Greene County Park Board.
  • Park areas are open sunrise to sunset.
  • Boats must be off of Fellows Lake at sunset.
  • Pets must be on a leash in all park areas.

(a) - Permit Required. Available at Fellows Lake Marina for $25/year, $35/year starting 4/2011.
(b) - Jet drive motors or any other motor modifications do not apply in determining the hp requirements.
(c) - Skiing permitted May 15 - Oct. 1, in defined area, Monday & Wednesday 2pm until one hour before sundown. Saturday & Sunday 10am-3pm. Contact Marina for details at 833-2058.

Locations
Lake Springfield - located on the James River next to the James River Power Plant, near Highways 60 and 65.

Fellows Lake - located north of Springfield, near Highways 65 and AA.

McDaniel Lake - located north of Springfield on the Little Sac River, from the dam to the low water bridge on Farm Road 68. It is accessible by Grant Street or Summit Street.

Valley Water Mill - located at the northeast edge of Springfield on Valley Water Mill Road.
