What is WaterSense?
WaterSense, a voluntary public-private partnership program, seeks to protect the future of our nation's water supply by promoting water efficiency and enhancing the market for water-efficient products, programs, and practices.
Saving water is easy - many products are already available for use, and it doesn't require changing the way most of us live or do business. By choosing products labeled through the WaterSense program, you know you'll be saving water for future generations.

EnergyWise Grant Program
With the low rates that City Utilities customers enjoy, it has traditionally made it difficult to realize a quick return on investment (ROI)
for any capital improvement when relying on energy savings alone. The purpose of this grant is to help reduce that ROI to a level that makes the project practical and cost-effective.

Efficient Toilet Rebate
City Utilities water customers who replace existing toilets are eligible for a $50 rebate after the purchase and installation of an Ultra Low-Flow Toilet, or a $75 rebate after the purchase and installation of a High Efficiency Toilet. For new homes and businesses under construction, customers who choose High
Efficiency Toilets are eligible for the $75 rebate.
Ultra Low-Flow Toilets use 1.6 gallons of water per flush (gpf) - and is the standard for all toilets manufactured since 1994. High Efficiency Toilets use 1.28 gpf or less. Toilets manufactured earlier than January 1, 1994 use between 3.5 to 7 gpf. By participating
in this rebate program, you could save approximately 9000 gallons of water per year, while at the same time knowing you are doing your part to conserve water.

Programmable Thermostat Rebate
Programmable thermostats automatically adjust your facility's temperature settings, allowing you to save energy while you're working or away.
They:
- Are more convenient and accurate than manual thermostats and improve your workplace's comfort.
- Contain no mercury.
- Save energy and save money on utility bills - when used properly, about $100/year.
Programmable thermostats earn the ENERGY STAR® by meeting strict energy efficiency guidelines set by the government. These units save energy by offering four convenient, pre-programmed temperature settings - settings that try to anticipate when it's convenient for you to scale back on heating or cooling.
If you have a different schedule on the weekend, a programmable thermostat can offer many benefits, and the return on your investment is usually within one year.
On the other hand, if you have workers throughout the day, seven days a week, then a programmable thermostat will offer more limited benefits.
