Refrigerator & Freezer Recycling Rebate
Benefits:  $35 rebate
Who's Eligible:  CU residential or commercial customers with electric service
  • Residential customers may receive up to two (2) rebates
  • Commercial customers may receive up to six (6) rebates

About the Program:
City Utilities electric customers are eligible to have their old, operating refrigerator or freezer picked-up and recycled – and receive a $35 rebate for getting rid of that energy hog. Certain restrictions apply; see guidelines on program brochure.

It’s as easy as 1, 2, 3

  1. Call CU at 874-8200 to schedule a date to pick up your old, operating refrigerator or freezer.

  2. CU’s contracted recycler, Conservation Services Group (CSG), will haul away and recycle your old refrigerator or freezer on the scheduled date.

  3. You’ll receive a $35 rebate from CU and you’ll start saving money on your electric bill.
