About the Program:
City Utilities electric customers are eligible to have their old, operating refrigerator or freezer picked-up and recycled – and receive a $35 rebate for getting rid of that energy hog. Certain restrictions apply; see guidelines on program brochure.
It’s as easy as 1, 2, 3
- Call CU at 874-8200 to schedule a date to pick up your old, operating refrigerator or freezer.
- CU’s contracted recycler, Conservation Services Group (CSG), will haul away and recycle your old refrigerator or freezer on the scheduled date.
- You’ll receive a $35 rebate from CU and you’ll start saving money on your electric bill.
