About the Program:
City Utilities electric and/or natural gas customers may qualify for a $15 rebate after the purchase and installation of a programmable thermostat. The purpose of this program is to reduce the cost of these thermostats to make them affordable to as many customers as possible, and to increase customer awareness of energy efficient products. In many cases, the purchase and installation will result in long-term energy savings and increased comfort.
Certain restrictions apply; see guidelines on rebate form.
A programmable thermostat helps make it easy for you to save by offering four pre-programmed settings to regulate your home's temperature in both summer and winter - when you are asleep or away.
Recycle Alert!
Please Dispose of Your Old Thermostat Properly.
If you are replacing a conventional thermostat that has a mercury switch, be careful not to break the tube that holds this substance. As a Springfield/Greene County resident, you may use the services of the City of Springfield's Household Chemical Collection Center free of charge. Please call 864-2000 to schedule an appointment. This is for residential customers only -- no businesses, please.
