If you're about to move into the City Utilities service area or into a new home, it's easy for you to connect your utilities. You can establish service several ways: online, by phone, or in person.

We're happy to have you as a new customer and look forward to providing you with the best possible service.

Things To Know When Starting Utilities
Important information about what to expect when you open or reopen an account, such as deposits and other requirements:
  • New Residential Customers
    If you are unable to complete a service request online, or have questions about service with City Utilities, please contact Customer Service at (417) 863-9000. A $100 deposit may be required.

    It normally takes one to two days to connect your new service. An account entry fee will be included on your first bill:
    • - One utility service = $15
    • - Two utility services = $25
    • - Three utility services = $30

  • Existing Residential Customers
    Existing customers may make arrangements to transfer or disconnect services by using the above online request forms or by calling Customer Services at (417) 863-9000. Past-due utility bill payments may require a visit to the office.
