How to report outages

May 1, 2018 |

In a time when we rely on electricity to do literally everything in our lives, no one wants to be left in the dark. Here’s how you can help us, help you.

What to do BEFORE an outage

  • Make sure the phone number listed on your utility bill is correct. If you need to update your information, you can log in to your account online or give us a call at 417-863-9000.

What to do DURING an outage

The most important thing to do is to report your outage properly—even if you think someone else in your neighborhood plans to report an outage. The sooner we know about your outage, the sooner we can get you back to doing the things that matter to you. There are two ways to correctly report your outage:

  • Report By Phone: Call 1-888-863-9001
  • Report Online: Login to your online account and report your outage.

If your power is out, you can always check the status of the outage in our Outage Center. Here you can find more information about reporting your outage as well as a link to our Outage Map, which provides up-to-the-minute information. Click on a colored section of the map to reveal more details about that power outage including the estimated time of restoration (pictured below).
