Meetings Scheduled to Discuss Energy Resources and Planning

City Utilities will be holding two informal sessions to share information on forecasting future electric supply and demand for our community.

The Integrated Resource Plan (IRP) assists the utility in determining the best mix of power generation resources that will be required by our community while minimizing future costs. It is designed to meet requirements for reliability, regulations, affordability, and several other factors.

Meetings are scheduled for the following times and locations:

• Tuesday, March 12 – The Library Station, 2535 N. Kansas Expressway, 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
• Wednesday, March 27 – The Library Center, 4653 S. Campbell, 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

While there is no formal presentation during the meetings, CU will have staff available to answer questions and discuss the IRP with those attending.
