Board Approves Interoperability Agreement and Upgrade for Trunked Radio System
The Board of Public Utilities today approved an Interoperability Agreement with the Missouri Department of Public Safety (DPS) to establish a three-year trial period of the Missouri Statewide Interoperability Network (MOSWIN) Zone 4. The agreement will allow public safety agencies, and other users of the local Trunked Radio System (TRS) to link with other agencies in established zones. MOSWINS Zone-4 is expected to be in service during early 2021 following necessary equipment and technical upgrades to the existing TRS that has been reliably serving the area for nearly 20 years.
