How To SHARE Warmth This Winter

Nov 5, 2019 | 0 comments

Meteorologists are predicting winter to be particularly cold this year, which means your heating systems have to work double time to keep your home comfortable. The additional time your furnace runs means your bill will increase. For some struggling to make ends meet, this could become a difficult season to stay warm.

Project SHARE (Springfieldians Helping Area Residents with Energy) is administered through Ozarks Area Community Action Corporation and is funded by your donations as a City Utilities’ customer. This program provides assistance with winter heating costs for income-eligible households from January through May.

Help those in need by simply adding a tax-deductible donation to your utility bill payment each month. You can opt-in to donate a fixed amount every month, round up your bill to the next dollar, or both! Sign up for Project SHARE here or call us at 417-863-9000 to help others in our community stay warm this winter.
