Board Approves Extension of Property Lease with Park Board

Springfield, MO – The Board of Public Utilities amended and approved the lease of property near Blackman Water Treatment Plant for continued use by the Springfield-Greene County Park Board. The property is the site of Dan Kenny Park and these changes allow use of the area until 2056 with an additional 50-year extension possible at that time.

 

Transit Service Moves Back to Normal Operating Schedule on May 31

On Sunday, May 31 CU Transit will begin operating on regular schedules and routes. Staff will continue to monitor community health conditions and transit ridership. Visit cutransit.net or call 417-831-8782 for assistance in planning a ride.

Utility Operations During COVID-19

City Utilities has extended the disconnection of utility service until at least July 6, 2020 due to the COVID-19 situation. Customers who are or who think they will have financial difficulty with utility bills are reminded to contact Customer Service at 417-863-9000 to discuss their situation and make payment arrangements if needed.

Until further notice, the lobby at 301 E. Central remains closed.
