Board Authorizes Application Process for ARPA Grant Funds

The Board of Public Utilities today authorized Gary Gibson, CU President & CEO, to have the ability to apply for possible grant funding from the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA). Two projects, both in the Water Department, have been recommended for grants. $5 million will be requested for the Stockton Pipeline Booster Pump, and a system wide project to inventory lead service lines could receive $200,000 if ARPA funds are approved. ARPA applications are to be submitted by July 14, 2022.

 

Ways to Save Money During Hot Summer Weather

Summer weather conditions are here, and City Utilities wants to remind customers of ways to save on energy and water bills. Information about payment and billing options, including Level Pay and registering for My Account information, can be found on the My Account page, or on the CU My Account mobile app available for Apple and Android devices.

 

CU Customers Now Receiving HomeServe Information

Residential electric and water service customers of City Utilities will be receiving information from HomeServe, an approved partner of City Utilities. HomeServe provides optional emergency repair plans for electric and water services lines that are not typically covered with traditional home insurance coverage. (HomeServe residential electric and water service plans are completely optional for customers and are available separately or as a package. This does not cover residential sewer services.)

 

Fourth of July Schedule for CU Transit and other areas

CU Transit Services will operate routes on a modified holiday schedule on Monday, July 4, with hourly bus service using routes and schedules normally operated nightly and on Sundays. Service will begin at the Transit Center at 8:10 a.m., with the last trip leaving the Transit Center at 5:10 p.m. Access Express bus service will be available from 8:10 a.m. until 6:10 p.m. on Monday, July 4. Normal daily routes for Transit Services will resume on Tuesday, July 5, at 6 a.m. For additional information, call CU Transit Services at 831-8782, or visit cutransit.net
