2023 Halloween Hustle
Stranger Things and Costumed Runners Headed to Springfield Saturday
Stranger Things will be happening this Saturday morning, October 28, 2023, as City Utilities hosts The Halloween Hustle 5k and 10k race. Proceeds from the race support Harmony House, Springfield’s only domestic abuse shelter. The Halloween Hustle is an annual event for all ages. Participants are encouraged to get in the spirit and wear Halloween costumes.
Rain or shine, runners and walkers will cross the starting line at 9:00 a.m. from the main office of CU at 301 E. Central and run along historic Commercial Street and mid-town neighborhoods before returning. Along the way, several trunk-or-treat locations will be handing out candy to Stranger Things of all ages. Registration and event information is available at https://bit.ly/3r4UGC8
City Utilities staff are again honored to volunteer and serve as hosts of the annual Halloween Hustle 5k & 10k.
The Halloween Hustle benefits Harmony House—Springfield’s only domestic abuse shelter. Harmony House provides shelter, advocacy, and education to survivors of domestic abuse. Every penny raised from the Halloween Hustle will support the Harmony House and the work they do every day. When you take part in the Halloween Hustle, you are helping the Harmony House provide a safe, warm place for a survivor of domestic abuse and their child. When you get involved, you are giving a survivor a chance to escape abuse and giving them access to resources such as food, clothing, court advocacy, life skills classes and more. When you take part in the Halloween Hustle, your donation stays local, and you are helping the Harmony House continue to provide much-needed services in our community all while making a huge difference!
