Heating and Cooling Rebates

Nearly 50% of a home’s energy consumption is attributed to heating and cooling. So making wise decisions about your home’s heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems can have a big effect on your comfort level and utility usage. For this reason, City Utilities is offering a rebate to help make this energy efficient decision more affordable. Certain restrictions apply; see guidelines on rebate form.

ENERGY STAR® Central Air Conditioner Rebate

Benefits:  Up to $500 rebate
Who’s Eligible:  CU residential, multi-family, or residential new construction customers with electric service
Minimum Efficiency Required: 15.2 SEER2 and 12 EER2

 

ENERGY STAR® Natural Gas Furnace Rebate

Benefits:  Up to $400 rebate
Who’s Eligible:  CU residential, multi-family, or residential new construction customers with natural gas service
Minimum Efficiency Required: 95%

 

ENERGY STAR® Air-Source Heat Pump Rebate

Benefits:  Up to $500 rebate
Who’s Eligible:  CU residential, multi-family, or residential new construction customers with electric service
Minimum Efficiency Required: 15.2 SEER2, 11.7 EER2 and 7.8 HSPF2

 

ENERGY STAR® Geothermal Heat Pump Rebate

Benefits:  $1,025 rebate
Who’s Eligible:  CU residential, multi-family, or residential new construction customers with electric service
Minimum Efficiency Required: 

  • Water-to-Air Closed Loop: EER of 17.1, COP of 3.6
  • Water-to-Water Closed Loop: EER of 16.1, COP of 3.1

Many qualified contractors are able to perform efficiency upgrades. Choose one from the list of contractors registered with City Utilities, or select one of your own to perform the work.
