About the Program
City Utilities residential and commercial water customers may qualify for a rebate of 50% of the purchase price, up to $75, after the purchase and installation of a WaterSense® labeled High Efficiency Toilet. High Efficiency Toilets use 1.28 gallons of water per flush (gpf) or less compared to toilets manufactured earlier than January 1, 1994, that use between 3.5 to 7 gpf. By participating in this rebate program, you could save approximately 6,000 gallons of water per year, while at the same time knowing you are doing your part to conserve water for our community. Certain restrictions apply; see guidelines on rebate form.
Toilet Performance Test Results
The Maximum Performance (MaP™) testing project was undertaken in 2003 in order to identify how well popular toilet models perform using a realistic test media, soybean paste, closely replicating the “real world demand.” Performance testing of several hundred different toilet fixture models was completed and summarized in the latest report.
