Mar 17, 2020

CU Lobby and Other Buildings Closed To Visitors

Due to the changing issues from the COVID-19 situation, at the close of business today, the main lobby at 301 E. Central, and other City Utilities offices, will be closed to visitors until April 1, 2020. We will be closely monitoring the status of events and health issues in the community and make a decision on reopening the lobby on April 1. Customers may use the kiosks located outside the main office door and other payment methods. Information on the various payment methods is available on our website. As announced yesterday, City Utilities is actively following the rapidly evolving situation regarding COVID-19 (coronavirus). We want to again remind our customers and community that we are taking additional steps to make sure there are no interruptions in the essential services we provide every day.

  • CU has suspended the disconnection of utilities for non-payment until May 1, 2020. Customers are encouraged to contact CU to make payment arrangements to avoid additional late payment charges.
  • Customers may contact CU at 417-863-9000 or conduct business online at cityutilities.net. Be aware that call volume may increase during this time, please be patient when contacting our Customer Services area.
  • Bus service will continue normal operation.
